Our beginnings at the Yart Factory, your stencil manufacturer
In 1954 Joep Hoffmans sr. started to build the foundations of what is today known as the Yart Factory. The company started out as the "Joep Hoffmans company", initially supplying parts for shoe manufacturing in Waalwijk, and with the passing of time in the 1970s leather goods were introduced. In the early 80s the family business expanded their focus and changed the company name to “Pronty” which also became the name for the new brand in the growing hobby industry. New machinery was added and thus increased the number of processing techniques and materials that were available to the production process. Sister company Point to Paper, excellent paper laser cutting, was established in 2010. Spring 2020 Point to Paper merged with Yart Factory. A couple of years ago the company changed its name from Pronty to Yart Factory.

The Yart Factory provides a complete custom stencil service for a huge range of applications. A stencil is a device that helps you apply a particular design onto a surface. The design can be in any form - letters, words, and patterns being the most popular. Stencils tend to work best onto a flat surface, and depending on the ink or paint you use, and can be used on metal, cardboard, or any other material. There are two parts to a stencil: the spaces that allow the color to seep through to the material below are known as ‘islands’, and the areas that connect the stencil together are referred to as ‘bridges’. We can provide a complete artwork design service or work from your own design. The range of our stencil products is extensive and includes Letter Stencils, Parking Lot Stencils, Wall Stencils and Custom Stencils. Our customers range from large cities and schools to small business and home designers. Basically, anywhere you see paint designs on pavement, walls or any surface; you can be sure our fine products have been used. We use different thicknesses of Whitaxx, which is our own variation of Mylar. This is a tough and safe material of consumer grade quality. It is incredibly durable, whilst at the same time it is flexible enough to bend over curved surfaces. Whitaxx is resistant against most solvents. Furthermore, it is food quality, meaning it is safe to use for decorating foods such as cookies, or drinks such as frappuccinos. If you are looking for a DIY stencil manufacturer we would love to offer our services to you.
