How to DIY with stencil, step by step
Step 1: Find or Create a Design
Before you begin, we suggest you find a design that you like. Whether you are making a handmade card, intricate patterns for your wall, or designing your own furniture, it is very important that you choose something you like. If you can draw, go ahead and personalize your own pattern. For beginners, we suggest fewer curves and edges and more straight lines until you get the hang of it.
Step 2: Transfer your design
The easiest approach is to simply print a design you like and stick your design to your blank stencil. If you use a blank transparent stencil, you can glue your design on top or underneath the blank. If you use a non-transparent blank stencil, then you will need to tape your design on top of the blank. Trace or draw your design directly onto the blank stencil with a fine or sharp tip marker. Consider using a ruler to mark straight lines.
